Federal campaign finance reports for the fourth quarter of 2023 were due by 11pm Wednesday night. Here are some notable races:
4th Congressional:
Congressman Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (D-Chicago)- raised $148k, $203k on hand
Raymond Lopez (D)- raised $46k, $31k on hand
6th Congressional:
Congressman Sean Casten (D-Downers Grove)- raised $347k, $1 million on hand
Mahnoor Ahmad (D)- raised $6k, $4k on hand
7th Congressional:
Congressman Danny Davis (D-Chicago)- raised $168k, $320k on hand
Melissa Conyears-Ervin (D)- raised $134k, $291k on hand
Kouri Marshall (D)- raised $34k, $24k on hand
Kina Collins (D)- raised $8k, $10k on hand
Nikhil Bhatia (D)- raised $23k, $6k on hand
11th Congressional:
Congressman Bill Foster (D-Naperville)- raised $490k, $1.7 million on hand
Qasim Rashid (D)- raised $321k, $235k on hand
Jerry Evans (R)- raised $102k, $145k on hand
12th Congressional:
Congressman Mike Bost (R-Murphysboro)- raised $469k, $1.4 million on hand
Darren Bailey (R)- raised $154k, $117k on hand
14th Congressional:
Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (D-Naperville)- raised $440k, $1.6 million on hand
James Marter (R)- raised $19k, $36k on hand
17th Congressional:
Congressman Eric Sorensen (D-Moline)- raised $605k, $1.6 million on hand
Joe McGraw (R)- raised $221k, $218k on hand
Other notable filings:
Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Schaumburg) continues to attempt to position himself as the successor to Sen. Dick Durbin. He raised $1.3 million and has over $15.4 million on hand.
Speaking of Durbin, the senior Senator who has yet to address questions regarding if he’ll seek re-election in 2026, raised just $106k in the fourth quarter and has about $1.7 million in the bank.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth, who isn’t up until 2028, raised $426k and has around $1.9 million in the bank.
Freshman Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (D-Springfield) who has no serious GOP challenge in November, raised $583k in the fourth quarter and has $1.4 million in the bank.
Congressman Darin LaHood (R-Peoria) raised $365k in the fourth quarter and has around $4.9 million in the bank.
